ElderWise is a private Canadian company committed to helping you, either as an aging parent or a busy mid-life adult, to find PEACE OF MIND and RENEWED ENERGY to manage the issues you and your family face as well as the EMOTIONS that accompany them.

When ElderWise founders, Mara Osis and Maureen Osis, introduce themselves, many people find it hard to believe that, despite sharing an unusual last name, they are NOT related, either by blood or by marriage. 

They first met in 2001, when both had registered for a professional conference in Calgary and were inadvertently sent each others' "M. Osis" receipts. Exchanging receipts was their excuse to meet over coffee to get acquainted. They quickly found areas of mutual interest and began finding opportunities to work together.

By 2004 Maureen and Mara knew that they wanted to act on their interest and commitment in helping families with aging parents. They saw mid-life adults (including themselves) struggling to find ways to support their aging parents while keeping their own careers and family life on track. 

ElderWise would be a company that would provide a uniquely Canadian source of information and support for both boomers and their parents.

Since then, ElderWise has reached thousands of individuals and families through its web site, books and e-guids, public and professional presentations, free e-newsletter and family coaching service.
